You know it’s there. Maybe you’ve read about it, heard other divers talking about it, or saw it on TV. You’ve wanted to go there too. Now you can, and do so safely. Two hundred feet (60 msw) will definitely be within your reach after you finish Konaquatica’s IANTD Normoxic Trimix course.
Normoxic means that you as a diver will never be breathing a gas mixture that won’t easily keep you alive, healthy and happy. You don’t have to worry about low oxygen content, because you’ll always be diving with at least 20% oxygen, and can instead focus on all the wonders you’ll be seeing and experiencing as you dive down to two hundred feet (60 msw). Imagine the possibilities and the incredible, amazing dives this will allow you to do.
Have experiences you ’ll never forget as we spend at least 4 hours underwater in this course…and usually more. You’ll be carrying at least one stage cylinder during these dives and doing gas switches. Skills include stage removal and replacement while swimming, removing a stage and following a line at least 15 feet (4.5 meters) with your eyes closed, turning around and locating your stage again, then replacing it on the right side. Simulate a BCD failure and utilize a lift bag as BCD, perform valve shutdowns, deploy a lift bag in under 90 seconds at least 5 times. There’s much more, but you may already be realizing that by taking a Normoxic Trimix course at Konaquatica Dive Center you are going to be fully trained and ready to start diving to new depths with your new skills and procedures.
You will find Normoxic Trimix to be the tool of choice for diving between 130 and 200 feet.
Konaquatica also offers Normoxic Trimix Closed Circuit Rebreather Diver courses.
IANTD holds true to their belief that the best way to turn out a good diver is to spend a lot of time underwater. It is with bottom time that divers can learn, practice and perfect skills. Exercises and scenarios are presented to give the student diver realistic...even stress-inducing situations. We feel you are better served as a diver to have gone through this in your training under our safe supervision, so that when it happens in your future diving, you will be prepared for it by having already gone through the same thing multiple times during your IANTD course. Because in stress situations it’s the most poorly learned, or least practiced skills that go first in divers, our goal in your IANTD courses is to repeatedly drill you in skills, until the proper life-saving responses become automatic and are ingrained to the point of muscle memory.
All this is done with the ultimate goal being turning out the best-prepared and trained divers in the world. A key emphasis is to do this safely, advancing the diver’s skill sets, knowledge and operational capabilities so they can take all that forward with them and accomplish every one of their future dives safely. IANTD is the future.
If you are truly looking for the finest training there is and are willing to work hard both mentally and physically, then perhaps IANTD is indeed the very best choice you can possibly make. We invite you to change the way you dive forever and to become the diver you honestly want to be. Imagine making that a reality with Konaquatica, then returning home realizing you’ve not only gotten all that you wanted in your IANTD course in Kona but actually received even more than you expected and had a lot of fun in doing so.
